Won an Olympic silver medal as a member of the U.S. team at the Summer Games in Athens, Greece... in 2004 she also was the runner-up in the all-around at the Visa American Cup and at the U.S. Olympic Trials... and she placed first in the all-around at the Athens Olympic test event... in 2003 she was a member of the first-place team at the Pan American Games and also finished second in the U.S. Championships junior division... trained at Great American Gymnastics Express under Al Fong and Armine Barutyan-Fong... daughter of Mike and Linda McCool.

A career-high 9.95 on the balance beam in the NCAA Super Six Finals to lead Georgia to its third consecutive NCAA Championship. Matched her career high of 9.95 on the floor exercise to capture that title at the NCAA North Central Regional. Scored a 9.9 on balance beam in the season-opener against No. 8 Stanford to finish second on that event. Scored a 9.95 on floor against Alabama and one judge awarded her with a 10.0. A 9.9 or higher on eight of her last nine floor routines and four of last six beam routines.
