2011 will be the 9th year of the Flip Fest Invitational. The competition should feature more than 2,700 athletes from about 15 states in men’s & women’s gymnastics, plus trampoline & tumbling.

Official Invitational for the Nastia Liukin Cup on March 5, 2010 Worchester, MA

Qualification: Two athletes from the 2010 Flip Fest Invitational will qualify to the 2010 Nastia Liukin Cup. The two highest scoring athletes in the Level 10/Open division, regardless of age, will qualify to compete in the inaugural Nastia Liukin Cup.  If either gymnast has already qualified, then the next gymnast(s) in rank order will assume their position(s) and qualify for the 2010 Nastia Liukin Cup. The following gymnast in rank order will serve as the alternate in case of illness, injury, or scratch of the qualified athlete.  Insertion of the alternate is at the discretion of USA Gymnastics. 

The Nastia Liukin Cup will take place Friday, March 5th at DCU Center in Worcester, Mass. Athletes will compete on the podium, which will be used the following day for the Tyson American Cup. Athletes/clubs are responsible for travel and housing to/from the Nastia Liukin Cup, and will be assisted by USA Gymnastics with those arrangements. The event will be televised by Universal Sports.

In addition, athletes who qualify to the Nastia Liukin Cup will not only have the opportunity to compete on the podium the day prior to the Tyson American Cup and earn the title of Nastia Liukin Cup Champion, but they will also receive the following:

• GK Nastia Liukin designed leotard and a warm-up
• Two tickets to the Tyson American Cup
• Recognition at the Tyson American Cup
• Team photograph/meet & greet with Nastia
