Register for Camp Online
Any camper 15 yrs. of age and older wishing to pay for a session of camp and attend as a regular camper can then apply to be a junior counselor for multiple sessions after. If chosen, the junior counselor position allows the gymnast to work out during training periods and perform various duties around camp in the non-training hours. After the gymnast’s camper week, he/she can then apply to stay for a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks as a junior counselor. The junior counselors stay in a cabin with campers of the same age range. Any Junior Counselor application MUST BE SUBMITTED ALONG WITH A PAID REGISTRATION FOR A CAMPER WEEK-NO EXCEPTIONS. For a gym team that brings 10 or more gymnasts to camp, they have the option to bring a visiting coach to camp. The visiting coach will have lodging on the camp in staff cabins and food provided by Flip Fest. This is a learning “floating” position and is not a hands-on coaching staff position. A visiting coach is allowed on the gym floor to observe, take notes, and attend all clinics given throughout the week. Coaches of all experience levels and abilities have chosen to take this position and enjoy it’s many benefits. If you do not have a team of ten or more coming to Flip Fest, you can still send a visiting coach for a fee of $350. Current gymnastics coaches, coming with or without their team, interested in attending Flip Fest as a hired position can also apply. Flip Fest looks for coaches ages 18 + yrs. with previous competitive gymnastics coaching experience. Your food and on site staff lodging is provided by Flip Fest. Certified Lifeguards interested in a job guarding the campers at the swimming area in the lake for approximately 15 hours a week Monday through Thursday can fill out the Lifeguard Application online now.
The Camp Counselor position is for students ages 18-25 yrs. who love to work with children. Previous experience with children is a help also. We look for counselors with high energy that come to camp to help ensure the camper’s safety and enjoyment of camp. A camp counselor would enjoy staying in a cabin with 10-16 campers for 1 to 11 weeks in the summer as well as working partly in the ropes course and lakefront. A couple of volunteer chaperone positions are available each week for parents of gymnasts coming with a team of 10 or more campers. As a chaperone with your child's team, you would be expected to stay in a cabin with 10-16 campers and ensure they are safe and that they have a great camp experience. You will also be asked to help serve some meals during the week in the dining hall. Your food and lodging will be provided by Flip Fest for the week. One “camp dad” position is available each week for a father of a gymnast coming to camp. Camp dad would be available to assist the camp owners and directors with small jobs around the property. Anything from changing a light bulb to running to Lowe’s! Any “handy” dad is welcome to apply. Your food and on-site staff lodging will be provided by Flip Fest for the week. A couple of volunteer dining hall help positions are available each week for parents of gymnasts coming to camp. As a dining hall helper, you would help prep for each meal, serve, and clean up. The camp driver is responsible for all airport pick up and drop offs of campers and coaches flying in to the Nashville airport. The driver must also be available for various errands throughout the week. If chosen to be the driver, you must be available starting the Saturday before your session begins and be available until the following Saturday. All drivers must be 21 years of age by camp time. On site lodging and food will also be provided for the driver by Flip Fest. All that are interested must fill out the Driver Application, sign and complete the Driver Rules, and attach a picture of your Driver License and a copy of your car insurance declarations page with coverage limits. There is one camp manager per session at Flip Fest. This position is voluntary and for a parent of a gymnast at camp. The camp manager must have medical background and be on the property if needed at all times during the entire week of camp. Food and on site staff lodging is also provided by Flip Fest. For individuals ages 17 and up interested in getting trained to take the campers through the ropes course in the pine forest. No previous experience in necessary, but a plus! Past experience working with children is also great. The more weeks you are available in succession, the better your chance of being hired.
